Why did you become a Realtor?

I became a Realtor because I love helping people find the perfect place to call home.

What do you love most about Chattanooga?

I love many things about Chattanooga. Easy access to a plethora of outdoor activities is at the top of my list. I also love the locally owned restaurants, local and name brand shopping, art museums, and music festivals. It is a wonderful place to raise and family and is spectacularly beautiful.

Will you share a personal experience related to real estate?

When my husband and I bought our first home we had a wonderful Realtor that helped us navigate the pressures of the first-time home buyer. She was kind, smart, and worked around the clock for us. I was teaching then, but that is when I realized I would love to become an affiliate broker someday and treat others with the same kindness and patience that we received.

What skills have do you have that make you a more effective negotiator or advocate for your client?

I have the ability to advocate effectively while maintaining a positive relationship with all parties involved.

Describe your personal philosophy in how you approach working with clients. I.e., what is most important to you?

Trust, communication, knowledge, commitment to customer service, and accuracy in representation. The building of relationships on trust.

Share a few fun facts about you that most people would never know or guess.

Cooking is a passion of mine, and my husband says he married me because of my eggplant parmesan. I know all the lyrics to "ghetto cowboy" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Before I became a teacher, I was one of the first staff members at Aretha Frankenstein's on Tremont Street. People still recognize me 19 years later.

Who is your most respected mentor and why?

My mother. When she started her job forty-three years ago, it was a very much male dominated business world. Through hard work, long hours, and determination, she was able to reach her goals and become a respected woman in her field of work.
